Product detailed description
Peace of mind as part of modern veterinary care
Stress in dogs and cats often arises not from big dramas, but from small changes that are easily overlooked. A new environment, a car journey, a visit to the vet, the noise of fireworks, a storm, loneliness or the arrival of a new household member can trigger a reaction of fear, tension and uncertainty in more sensitive animals. The body goes on alert, the animal may bark, destroy things, hide, drool, shake, lose its appetite or urinate in unusual places.
WeCalm® works with the natural regulation of neurotransmitters such as GABA, serotonin and dopamine. It is these substances that play an important role in how an animal perceives stress, how quickly it can calm down and how it learns to respond to repetitive stimuli. This can make it an appropriate support not only for one-off situations such as a road, a storm or fireworks, but also as part of long-term work with unwanted behaviour.
A so-called multimodal approach is also important. For animals with fears, phobias or separation anxiety, one step is often not enough. Training, gradual exposure to stimuli, a safe environment and appropriate support for the organism play an important role. In this process, WeCalm® can help the animal feel more confident, better able to cope with stress and adapt more naturally to situations that previously caused stress.
Why do vets choose WeCalm?

Natural calm support without unnecessary strain
WeCalm® relies on a combination of substances that influence the natural mechanisms of the nervous system, especially GABA, serotonin and dopamine. It helps the animal to cope better with stress, without the aim of calming it down, but rather to be more emotionally stable.
Suitable for both short and long term situations
It can be used before a specific stressful event such as a trip, storm, fireworks or a visit to the vet, but also for longer term work with behavioural symptoms, separation anxiety or reactions to a new environment.
Behavioural therapy support
By positively affecting dopamine and serotonin metabolism, WeCalm® can support the learning and adaptation process, which is especially important for animals working with a trainer or veterinarian to change unwanted behaviors.
Main components
Peptazine®, fish protein hydrolysate
Hydrolyzed marine peptide acts on the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis and promotes increased GABA levels in the hippocampus and hypothalamus. It thus helps better control anxiety, stress reactions and supports the learning process.
L-tryptophan
An amino acid that is a precursor to serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with mood, behavior and emotional stability. Low levels of serotonin are associated with stress, aggression and increased tension.
L-theanine
A natural substance from Camellia sinensis that helps to increase GABA levels, supporting the balance of serotonin and dopamine while helping to reduce noradrenaline. This helps the animal to better manage fear, anxiety and stressful stimuli.
Vitamins B1, B3 and B6
B vitamins support proper nervous system function, neuronal health, concentration and neurotransmitter production. Vitamin B6 is important, among other things, for the conversion of 5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin.
