Product detailed description
Rapid Upper Respiratory Tract Support

Balsamic Air: Easy Breathing for Maximum Performance
Changes in environment, weather, or daily routine can quickly put a strain on a horse’s sensitive respiratory system. This can result not only in discomfort but also in reduced performance. Balsamic Air is designed to provide rapid support for the upper respiratory tract and promote a feeling of free, natural breathing.
Thanks to a carefully selected blend of essential oils, it helps clear the airways and contributes to the horse’s comfort in every season—at home, in the stable, and during athletic activity.
Why Choose Balsamic Air?
Immediate support for respiratory comfort
Liquid formula with effective essential oils
Suitable for year-round use
Can be nebulized directly into the horse’s environment
ADP – safe for use during races
Knowing What to Look For in Your Horse
Learn to recognize signs that may indicate a need for upper respiratory support: rapid or labored breathing, nasal discharge, reduced performance, loss of appetite, or poor exercise tolerance. Always describe these symptoms as accurately as possible to your veterinarian—they will advise you on how to adjust your horse’s environment and recommend a clear plan of action using Balsamic products.
Thinking Ahead
Our veterinarians’ experience shows that in many situations, the need for respiratory support can be anticipated, thereby preventing occasional declines in respiratory performance. Balsamic Air is recommended, for example, when the weather turns cooler, when starting a training session, or when the horse comes into contact with other horses. Older horses, whose respiratory systems may be more sensitive, benefit from it particularly. Many riders on our team also use Balsamic Air preventatively when traveling to competitions.

Which supplement is right for your horse?
The Audevard Respiratory Line includes two dietary supplements with scientifically proven active ingredients: Balsamic Air and Balsamic Control. These products complement each other and together provide comprehensive support for your horse’s respiratory system.
Use the table below to easily determine which product to use and when. If you’re unsure, your veterinarian can recommend the most appropriate course of action tailored to your horse’s specific needs.
Focus on Ingredients
Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is a tree native to Australia. Eucalyptus essential oil contains eucalyptol, prized for its fresh, slightly spicy aroma. Thanks to its expectorant properties, it helps prevent congestion in the respiratory tract and contributes to maintaining your horse’s respiratory comfort.

Composition and Efficacy of the Formula
Our veterinarians have chosen to administer the plantsin the form of essential oils, which makes their active ingredients immediately available to the body. Dried plants or plant extracts do not provide this speed of action.
It is precisely these high quality standards that are behind the success of Balsamic Air, a product that has been proven effective for over 30 years. The formula is further enhanced with a thyme mother tincture, which supports long-term respiratory health.
Balsamic Air contains no substances that could lead to a positive result in anti-doping tests. The ADP program guarantees that there is no contamination with ingredients that could cause a positive test result.
Our Recommendation
Use Balsamic Air at the first signs of respiratory discomfort, as well as in situations that may trigger such issues, such as transport, poor-quality hay, dusty environments, or the riding arena.
Thanks to its consistency, the product can be:
administered directly into the horse’s mouth,
nebulized into the horse’s environment,
or easily mixed into its feed.
Balsamic Air is very palatable and well-accepted by horses.
For comprehensive and targeted support, Balsamic Air can be combined with Balsamic Control, especially for horses that need a quick return to comfortable breathing.
