Product detailed description
Long-term support of the lower airways

Respiratory function:
the key to your horse's comfort and performance
The attached study shows a direct link between respiratory function and performance. The respiratory system is often overlooked when performance declines, yet it must work at full capacity most of the time for the horse to perform well and not tire quickly.
- Long-term lower airway support
- Contains chervil, lemon, eucalyptus and garlic
- suitable for long-term use as required
- ADP: can be used during competitions
Know what to look out for in your horse
Learn to recognize signs that may indicate the need for respiratory and lung support:
Decreased performance, dilated nostrils, intolerance to exertion, respiratory rhonchi, labored expiration, difficulty recovering from exertion, poor adaptation to dusty environments, intolerance to being in a poorly ventilated stall or fed dry hay, possibly weight loss, and impaired general condition.
Make a careful note of these symptoms and share them with your veterinarian, who will help you assess the situation and may recommend the use of Balsamic Control.
Be able to plan ahead
Our veterinarians' experience has shown that once a horse has repeated episodes of respiratory and pulmonary problems, they are very likely to return - depending on changes in the environment (housing, pollen, dust, dry weather, etc.).
This phenomenon is even more pronounced in older horses. Therefore, learn how to prevent these periods:
adapt the housing conditions and administer Balsamic Control for 1 month before the risk period and for the entire duration.
Which supplement should I choose for my horse?
The Audevard respiratory range includes two dietary supplements made from scientifically proven active ingredients: Balsamic Air and Balsamic Control. These two products complement each other and together provide comprehensive support for the horse's respiratory system.
Use the table below to easily determine which product to use and when. If in doubt, your veterinarian will help you choose the most appropriate treatment for your horse's needs.

Focus on components
Nigella (Nigella)
Nigella is a plant native to Southeast Asia. It has been extensively studied for its beneficial effects in asthma in humans and its benefits have also been confirmed in horses.
The seeds of black cumin (also known as black cumin) are used in our recipes, as they have high nutritional value and provide unique and complementary secondary metabolites.
Ingredients
The presence of dust, mould or pollen in the environment throughout the year can cause recurrent respiratory problems or discomfort in some horses. These difficulties reduce the ability to oxygenate the blood and can adversely affect performance and overall comfort in very sensitive horses. The need to optimise respiratory function also applies to young horses, where support during training is important.
Balsamic Control does not contain any substances that could lead to a positive doping finding. The ADP program ensures that there is no contamination that could cause a positive result in anti-doping controls.
Balsamic Control is specifically formulated to provide targeted support for the horse's respiratory system. It contains an original combination of 4 ingredients - blackberry, lemon, eucalyptus and garlic - carefully selected by our veterinary experts.
This is our highest proportion formula with nearly 75%plant extracts. The combination of these ingredients supports the horse's respiratory system during periods of risk and in environments with increased stress. The chosen form of administration has been carefully designed to ensure optimal absorption of the active ingredients.
Our recommendations
Balsamic Control can be administered before and throughout periods of risk, for example to mitigate the effects of dusty environments in summer or when the horse is in the stable for longer periods during winter. If necessary, it can be used all year round, always in consultation with a veterinarian.
For a comprehensive effect, Balsamic Control and Balsamic Air can be combined, especially in horses that need a quick return to comfort.
