Know what to look out for in your horse
Learn to recognize signals that may indicate the need for joint support: changes or difficulty in movement under load (e.g., asymmetrical stride, loss of flexibility, problems with cavalets), warm joints after exercise, stiffness or discomfort in the cold, stiffness on hard surfaces, or cracking sounds when moving the limbs.
Do not hesitate to note these symptoms carefully and consult your veterinarian who can advise and recommend the use of Harpagyl or Ekyflex Arthro EVO.
Know how to plan ahead
Our veterinarians' experience has shown that if a horse experiences repeated episodes of stiffness, it is very likely that they will return. It depends primarily on the intensity and frequency of the stress as well as external conditions such as surface, humidity or temperature.
It is advisable to prepare for these situations early - adjust training conditions and administer Harpagyl at the first sign of stiffness.
Smooth step - fast and natural
Our veterinarians always select only ingredients verified by independent studies. They also guarantee that the qualities and concentrations used correspond exactly to these studies. These high standards are particularly important with Harpagyl, as there are significant differences between the different species of harpagophytes. Thanks to the quality of the ingredients used, users of Harpagyl are experiencing first positive results from day 3 of use.
The sensitivity of your horse's joints may vary throughout the year. These changes depend on the intensity of the load, the depth or hardness of the surface, the environment in which the horse is stabled or trained, and the temperature outside. The harpagosides contained in harpagophytum (devil's claw) are recognized as natural nutrients that can help meet the increased needs of the horse during periods of increased stress.
Harpagyl contains ingredients that may cause a positive anti-doping test result. It is therefore recommended to discontinue the product at least 48 hours prior to competition. The ADP programme ensures that there is no contamination that could lead to a positive anti-doping test result.

Ingredients
Harpagyl is much more than just a preparation with a high harpagophyte content. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids of plant origin, which naturally complement its effect and support your horse's joint comfort.
In terms of anti-doping controls, it is recommended to discontinue harpagophyte-based products at least 48 hours before competition.
Our recommendation
Due to its versatility, Harpagyl can be used as nutritional support in a wide range of situations associated with temporary and longer term discomfort in the horse. However, if you are unsure of the cause of the difficulty, it is essential to consult a veterinarian.

Focus on components
Harpagophyte (devil's claw)
This wild plant is found exclusively in the semi-desert areas of southern Africa. The benefits of harpagophytum for joint mobility are widely recognised in both humans and horses. Our veterinarians have therefore established very precise criteria for the selection of raw materials in order to exploit the full potential of this plant.
The extracts used must come exclusively from the root and their harpagoside content must be high and guaranteed, as it varies considerably from one plant to another. To ensure these parameters, it is essential to use titrated harpagophytes.
Audevard is also committed to an environmentally responsible approach that respects the plant's naturally limited resources.
