Ekyflex Tendon EVO

SUPPORTING SCHILLS AND BINS, FASTER HEALING FOR STRENGTHENED, STRAINED OR OVERSTRAINED SCHILLS OR BINS.
Nutritional support for horses being treated for tendon or ligament injuries. Helps tissue repair and optimizes tissue elasticity. Its formulation supports the balance between resistance and flexibility of tendons and ligaments. Can also be used as injury prevention during training for horses susceptible to tendon damage.

How to recognise the signs of tendon and ligament damage

Tendons and ligaments are the superficial parts of the musculoskeletal system. Any injury, even in its early stages, is likely to cause visible symptoms: heat, swelling. These are the first signs that the fibres of the tendons and ligaments have been damaged. In most cases, this occurs as a result of age or exercise-related tasks. It is important to recognise the early signs of damage: up to 70% of horse owners report having noticed at least one of the early signs of tendon or ligament damage, even if the horse was not limping at the time.

If these symptoms occur frequently and are not treated, the risk of acute tendonitis increases. Therefore, the most important thing of all is prevention, as a result of which tendonitis can be avoided. If the tendonitis is not treated in time, the rider and the horse will face a difficult healing journey, which is only fully successful in 20% of horses. The remaining 80% often suffer from recurrent inflammation.

Based on its veterinary expertise, Audevard innovates a triple action on tendons to improve and make the horse's rebound more comfortable.

Ekyflex Tendon EVO thus:

Creates quality collagen thanks to Tendogen I® (a combination of specific amino acids, precursors of type 1 collagen) and white willow extract (enhances the conversion of temporary, low-resistance type 3 collagen into long-term, resistant type 1 collagen).
Optimizes the tendon environment with extracts of Juniperus saw palmetto and Citrus, two powerful antioxidants that create an environment for proper fiber structure and function.
Enhances attachment to bone with vitamin D3, which improves the insertion of tendon and ligament fibers into bone.

Alfalfa, lithothamnion, locust bean, sugar beet molasses, Stevia Rebaudiania, citrus extract (≥50% bioflavonoids) 13 300 mg. Additives (per kg):- 2b - flavourings: Tendogen I® (2b17034 glycine 136 700 mg, 2b17019 L-proline 46 700 mg), white willow (Salix alba - standardised to 25 % salicylic acid) 100 000 mg, apple flavouring 25 000 mg, 2b2816-extract of olibanum (oleoresin from Boswellia serrata - standardised to 65 % boswellic acid) 21 700 mg. -3a - Vitamins, provitamins and substances having similar effects: 3a671 vitamin D3 100 000 IU. -3c - Amino acids, their salts and analogues: Tendogen I® (3c322 L-lysine 110 000 mg, 3c370 L-valine 40 000 mg). Ekyflex tendon- my most frequently purchased product from audevard, I have a mare after a tendon injury where I gave her several packs of this product and I was very satisfied with it, it promoted healing and recovery was a little faster and I am currently giving preventive at alternate intervals for me excellent product.

We have been using Ekyflex Tendon for about a month. I have no results yet, as the mare has damaged hoof ligaments for more than 5 years and no one has treated her for 2 years, so it will take a long time to "fix" them, if it will be possible at all. After we took her in, we gradually addressed these problems. In addition to the damaged ligaments, she has carpal arthritis from the accident. Personally, I have the most experience with Ekyflex Tendon after a recommendation, two years ago my horse was injured in the paddock (Peroneus tertius torn off). MVDr. Skala recommended this product as a healing aid outside of the 1/2 year break. The horse has fully recovered, I am unable to say whether also with the supportive treatment of Ekyflex Tendon + ZZen (to maintain the horse's well being) or the many aspects we provided the horse to fully recover. Anyway, the horse is currently 13 years old, KWPN breed, 600 kg, 174 cm and ridden dressage in a full daily load (4 days work, 1 day walk, 3 days work, 1 day break, 4 days work .... adt), he goes 1/2 hour to the round pen every day and then 3 hours to the paddock and 60-90 work including release. After a one year break from giving Ekyflex Tendon, I have reconsidered as a support to put on over the winter period to support against possible overload. This product is very well accepted by the horse in a conventional ration (everything else/electrolytes etc I have to mix with mash). I'm still considering supplementing with Ekyflex Osteo given the age and load and giving Myosten Protec in season.
