Cats are masters of hygiene. Grooming is a natural daily ritual for them, but at the same time they swallow hair. For most cats this is a normal process, but the problem arises when the hair starts to accumulate in the stomach and forms a clump, known as a bezoar. This can lead to gagging, vomiting, lack of appetite or general discomfort.

WeMalt® helps to promote the natural passage of ingested hair through the digestive tract, thereby reducing the risk of bezoar formation. It is not only suitable for the treatment of existing mats of hair, but also as a regular preventive treatment, especially for long-haired cats, in periods of shedding or for cats that lick intensively.

The form itself also plays an important role. The highly palatable paste turns routine grooming into a pleasant moment that the cat can perceive as a treat. For the breeder, this is a major advantage, because prevention of bezoars works best when it is simple, regular and stress-free. WeMalt® can be administered on the finger or directly into the mouth of the cat or kitten. The product is highly palatable and is intended for cats and kittens from 6 months of age.

For prevention of bezoars

Kittens 6 months and older, 3 to 6 mm, 1/8 teaspoon, once a week
Cats, 6 to 13 mm, 1/4 teaspoon, 1 time per week

For eliminating bezoars

Kittens 6 months and older, 13 mm, 1/4 teaspoon daily for 3 days
Cats, 25 mm, 1/2 teaspoon daily for 3 days

If symptoms persist, it is advisable to consult a veterinarian about the condition. Do not use in cats under 6 months of age.
