Thoroughbreds in training or under racing loads have significantly higher requirements for minerals (Ca, P and Mg) and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D and E) than horses in maintenance. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure an optimal supply of these nutrients in adequate amounts without excess.
