The needs for minerals (Ca, P and Mg) and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D and E) are significantly higher in the top performance horse than in the resting horse. Therefore, the main objective is to ensure the supply of the necessary nutrients in adequate quantities while avoiding excess. Too much intake has the same negative effect on the horse's performance as too little intake.
