Veterinary preparation SECUREHORSE FLASH

Veterinary preparation designed to calm horses. When confronted with an unusual situation, horses may react out of fear. SECUREHORSE FLASH allows you to encourage your horse's concentration and ability to learn. It is recommended, especially in new or unusual temporary situations (during transport, dental treatment, competitions, etc.), to calm the horse.

Ingredients: Synthetic Equine Calming Pheromone: 1%, Excipient q.s. 5 ml. Contains a synthetic version of Equine Calming Pheromone (EAP).

Natural version: this pheromone is secreted by the mare a few hours after she gives birth, calming the foal and helping it to become familiar with the outside world.

Dosing and use of the gel for horses

The gel should be administered when the horse is calm, about 30 minutes before the stressful event. One dose contains 5 ml of gel.

Procedure. Apply the gel to the base of the nostrils. The effect is visible within 30 minutes and lasts up to 2.5 hours. Afterwards, the application can be repeated if necessary.

Contents. The expiry date and batch number are indicated on the packaging. Store the product in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children. For animals only.

"This fascinating animal is also one of those that expresses its emotions most strongly." Stress is the body's natural response to the stress of a new environment. In humans and animals, negative excessive stress is caused by novelty, frustration, conflict and trauma. The natural response of all living things is then flight, defense and fear. This will be more or less intense and repetitive depending on the individual's past and memories of other similar negative events (transport, weaning, vet, tractor, etc.). This "bad" stress leads to problems with the horse's psychological well-being, unfitness, reduced performance and safety because a panicking horse is dangerous.

Calming Pheromone for Horses

SecureHorse®Flash is the result of research by R&D teams, including Professor Patrick Pageat, who first isolated the maternal calming pheromone in dogs and then in cats in 1999.

In keeping with our approach of respecting species and using their communication codes, our R&D teams have been able to identify and reproduce the maternal calming pheromone. This secretion, released through the skin on the inner thigh, promotes social confidence and increases the confidence of the horses as they adapt.

Within the herd, all members of the herd benefit from the shedding of mares accompanied by their foals.

The maternal calming pheromone activates the part of the brain that controls emotions and positively influences the information received. The horse will be as calm as a foal around its mother. He will feel free and able to explore new things. This will improve communication, quality of life and listening. He will be more receptive, more attentive and therefore more open. SecureHorse®Flash is not a "calming" product, the horse will not fall asleep, on the contrary he will seem more active and focused. SecureHorse®Flash has no doping effect and is therefore not on the FEl list of prohibited products. SecureHorse®Flash helps to reduce the expression of behavioural and physiological signs of stress in horses of all breeds and ages.
